The half day program features three sessions, each will provide a different perspective on getting inactive Victorians moving more.

David’s research focuses on understanding the adverse health consequences of too much sitting and the potential health benefits from frequently breaking up sitting time.
Cat is a qualitative research specialist, with 20 years of market and social research experience in Australia and overseas. She also leads SEC Newgate's Behavioural Insights Group.
Christina’s research focuses on physical activity in clinical groups, specifically older adults and people recovering from injury.
Alexis is experienced in both qualitative and quantitative research. With a background in psychology, she is passionate about investigating social issues and understanding behaviour.
Anna has worked as a landscape architect and open space planner in both private practice and local government. In her current role, she works to create great parks and places for people, culture and biodiversity in Melbourne’s northern growth corridor as well as in rural and regional townships.
Christa is a landscape architect with 17 years’ experience in the local government sector. Designing new and upgrading existing public open spaces, Christa is passionate about providing equitable and accessible open spaces for all.

Get Active Victoria is a free government initiative dedicated to supporting Victorians to live a more active and healthy life. Our focus is people who are not getting enough physical activity.
Get Active Victoria provides free online tools such as an activity tracker plus a large library of educational resources and online workouts. We also undertake research to understand how we can support inactive Victorians to move more.
